ABOUT US
Mission Statement
The Downtown Growers’ Market’s mission is to support and promote local agriculture, small business development and community engagement in order to better the economics, health, wellbeing and education of New Mexico residents and visitors.
We're located in historic Robinson Park on Saturdays, April 13-November 2, 8am-noon. The Downtown Growers’ Market is run by the DowntownABQ Main Street Initiative. The Market began in 1996, and continues to grow exponentially thanks to our vibrant community. The market is home to over 75 New Mexican growers offering the highest quality produce available in Albuquerque, along with a wide array of talented local artists and a delicious mix of prepared food artisans.
Every week we feature a live band, yoga at 9:00am, community nonprofits, a bike valet service, and lots of community spirit! All are welcome! We accept EBT/SNAP funds {which we'll double for you!}, that can be processed at our Information Booth, as well as WIC and Senior checks. Also, if you forgot cash- we have you covered! Visit the Info Booth on the south east corner of the park to learn how you can use your debit card to acquire market tokens.

Green Initiatives
We’re SOLAR POWERED. Positive Resources provides solar power for our band and Java Joe’s espresso machine.
BIKE to the market! Our neighbors at the Raynold’s Neighborhood Association provide a Bike Valet Service every Saturday starting in May. Bike to the market, leave your bike with them, and enjoy a stroll!
We have compost and recycling at Market in an effort to produce minimal waste. Thank you to Soilutions and Little Green Bucket who takes our compost each week! We are looking for volunteers to help with this program. If you are interested, please contact us below.
In 2018 we started an Eco Campaign! Our vendors are committing to reducing plastic in ABQ by transitioning to compostable packaging. Please help show your support by bringing your own bags, cups, straws, silverware... everything! Just let the vendor know you've brought your own before they serve you up. We'd like to give a shout out to the Albuquerque Rail Yards Market who are also reducing plastic at their Market and have provided tremendous support in our efforts. Be sure to check out their Market on Sundays from 10a-2p to learn about all of their Green Initiatives! Also be sure to like them on Facebook!
