Options for everyone!

In order to make healthy, local food an option for everyone at any income level, our market accepts a wide variety of payment options.
  • Cash: accepted by all vendors
  • Debit/Credit: accepted by some vendors (not all of our vendors have their own electronic sales)
  • Market Tokens: If you find you've run out of cash you can swipe your debit or credit card at the Information Booth for green market tokens in $5 increments. These are accepted by all vendors at the market. Vendors will give you cash back in change.

SNAP/EBT & the Double Up Food Bucks Program (DUFB)

If you have a SNAP card our market will double your spending ability. You decide how much you want off your card (say $20) and we will match that amount for free with DUFB tokens (so you get $40 to spend)!

SNAP tokens are wooden red tokens and come in $1 increments. These tokens can be used on items you would purchase at a grocery store (bread, eggs, honey, meats, dairy, produce, baked goods, seeds & plants for human consumption, etc. No hot prepared foods, coffee, roasted chile or non-food items).

Double Up Food Bucks tokens are silver and come in $2 increments. These are the extra tokens given for free and are only good for fresh produce, seeds and plant starts meant for human consumption.

Check out the videos below for more information on Double Up Food Bucks or check out their website HERE. To learn more about how to sign up for SNAP benefits in New Mexico go HERE.

Fresh RX, WIC & Senior Checks

Our market also accepts Presbyterian healthy food prescriptions (Fresh RX), WIC (Women, Infant and Children Program) vouchers and Senior Checks all of which are good for fresh produce.

Fresh RX prescriptions are turned into our Information booth in exchange for purple Fresh RX tokens, in $2 increments. These tokens are good for fresh produce. Prescriptions must be obtained from doctors and more information can be found HERE.

WIC vouchers can be given directly to farmers that have signed up to accept WIC. Look for WIC paperwork to be displayed at their booth, or ask them directly. These vouchers are good for unprocessed fruits and vegetables. For more information on the WIC program go HERE.

Senior Checks are given directly to the farmers. These are good for unprocessed fruits and vegetables. To learn more about the Senior Farmers'Market Nutrition Program go HERE.
