
Payment Options:
In order to make healthy, local food an option for everyone at any income level, our market accepts a wide variety of payment options. Head to the yellow Information Booth at 8th St. and Central Ave. every Saturday to learn more. Our friendly staff will happily explain all the options.
Cash: accepted by all vendors
Debit/Credit: accepted by most vendors (not all of our vendors have their own electronic sales)
Market Tokens: If you find you've run out of cash you can swipe your debit or credit card at the Information Booth for blue market tokens in $5 increments (with $2 service charge per transaction). These are accepted by all vendors at the market. Vendors will give you cash back in change. Tokens do not expire.

If you have a SNAP or SUN Bucks card our market will double your spending ability. You decide how much you want off your card (say $20) and we will match that amount for free with DUFB tokens (so you get $40 to spend)! Tokens do not expire and can be used any Saturday at the market.
SNAP tokens are wooden red tokens and come in $1 increments. These tokens can be used on items you would purchase at a grocery store (bread, eggs, honey, meats, dairy, produce, baked goods, seeds & plants for human consumption, etc. No hot prepared foods, coffee, or non-food items).SNAP tokens are specific to each Market. DGM vendors will only accept SNAP tokens with the DGM logo.
Double Up Food Bucks tokens are silver and come in $2 increments. These are the extra tokens given for free and are only good for fresh produce, seeds and plant starts meant for human consumption.

Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) for WIC is different than standard WIC.
WIC & Senior Farmers Market Program: Mobile & Card Payments: to use your benefits at the Market, your WIC & Senior card must have a QR code instead of a bar code. This QR code will be scanned when you checkout at the farmer's booth. Look for the We Accept signs to be displayed at their booth, or ask them directly. WIC & Senior Farmers Market benefits can be used as payment for fresh local fruits, vegetables, herbs, local NM Pinto Beans, local NM green Chili, non decorative red Chili Ristras and (Honey-Seniors Only)
These programs are managed by the New Mexico Health Department and New Mexico WIC.
As of 2022 physical WIC checks are no longer being issued for use at growers' markets. Instead, WIC participants will receive their benefits digitally or via a shopper card. For more information on the WIC program go HERE. -
FreshRx is a produce prescription program run by the New Mexico Farmers' Marketing Association (NMFMA) that provides incentives for patients to complement their current medical care by purchasing nutritious, New Mexico grown produce. Program is currently paused due to funding. Learn more HERE>
