The Downtown Growers' Market operates on a small budget to support its numerous expenses including: insurance, permits, licensing, signage, utilities, barricade rentals, portable toilet rentals, promotions and marketing, site improvement, event programming, and market staff. We cover operating costs through vendor fees, fundraising events, foundation grants, sponsorships, merchandise sales, and donations. While the DGM, costs over $100,000 annually to run, we do not receive a percentage of growers, artist or prepared food sales. Our aim is to make this market affordable to our vendors and community.
